In a rapidly evolving world where information is abundant and the only constant is change, the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn is no less than a superpower. “The Art of Teaching How to Learn” is dedicated to parents, educators, and all individuals committed to nurturing this superpower in children and students.
Within the framework of human civilization lies a tapestry woven with the brightest threads of achievement and progress, alongside the darkest strands of our capacity for brutality. As we embark on the essential, yet unsettling task of examining the grave missteps of our collective past.
What defines the course of human civilization? Harness of Fire? The Wheel? The Internet? The computers? Beyond these iconic innovations lies a tapestry of human ingenuity that has sculptured our society. But what if the pivotal moments you know are just the beginning of the odyssey?
Arsenio Meneses is a Telecommunications Engineer who graduated from PUC Rio de Janeiro in 1970. He furthered his education with a Bachelor's in Economic Sciences from FINES in 1980 and completed a master’s program in Project Administration at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 1981. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Boston University. For 12 years, he worked as a Physics and Calculus Professor at the Engineering College of University Veiga de Almeida, in Brazil. Since February 1992, he has resided in the United States and has served for the past 18 years as a teacher of Advancement Placement Physics, Astronomy Honors, and Math in Florida.
As a dedicated Physics educator, Meneses has participated in various training programs all across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Notably, in July 2012, he underwent intensive training at CERN, in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, Switzerland, which coincided with the confirmation of the Higgs Boson, colloquially known as the "God Particle" on July 4.
He also actively participated in training programs at IQC (Institute for Quantum Computing) in Canada, focused on Quantum Computing. Over four consecutive summers, he attended Modeling Physics programs organized by Florida International University.
Over the past five years, Arsenio Meneses has delved into the studies of Anthropology, Cosmology, Theology, and Evolutionism as proposed by Charles Darwin. The content in this book combines my experience as a parent of 5 children, over 30 years as a Physics, Math, and Astronomy professor, and AI’s deep research capacity. I’ve used the invaluable assistance of AI, specifically ChatGPT, to create it. After presenting prompts that outlined the main structure and
topics I aimed to explore, I entrusted ChatGPT with conducting thorough research and gathering material.
